Purpose: Patients diagnosed with High Grade Gliomas (HGG) generally tend to have a relatively negative prognosis with a high risk of early tumor recurrence (TR) after post-operative radio-chemotherapy. The assessment of the pre-operative risk of early versus delayed TR can be crucial to develop a personalized surgical approach. The purpose of this article is to predict TR using MRI radiomic analysis.

Background/objectives: This retrospective observational study aimed to investigate the perioperative outcome in Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumors (MPNSTs) with and without relation to Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) and to detect possible influencing factors.
Methods: Clinical reports, histopathological evaluations, imaging, and treatment characteristics were reviewed in 35 operated MPNSTs in 33 patients. Possible predictive valuables included disease type, preoperative tumor volume, SUV and MIB-1 proliferation index, resection margins, the presence of metastasis, and whether radio-/chemotherapy was received.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare pathological response rates after preoperative hyperfractionated radiotherapy with co-administration of chemotherapy based on 5FU (HART-CT) versus preoperative hyperfractionated radiotherapy (HART) in patients with resectable rectal cancer.
Methods: Patients with T2/N+ or T3/any N rectal cancer were randomized either to HART twice a day (28 fractions of 1.5 Gy) to total dose 42 Gy or to HART-CT.

Introduction: Systemic inflammatory response (SIR) indicators are an emerging category of serum biomarkers with significant potential as prognostic and predictive factors in various types of cancers The primary focus of our study was to determine the prognostic value of the lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), platelet-to-albumin ratio (PLR) and platelet-to-albumin ratio (PAR) in evaluating the response to neoadjuvant treatment for patients with rectal cancer.
Materials And Methods: We included 99 consecutive patients with rectal cancer which were admitted for surgery in our institution after completing a standard neoadjuvant radio-chemotherapy regimen. Several hematologic parameters, including LMR, PAR and PLR, were calculated by collecting and analyzing blood samples preoperatively.
