Determination of pleural dissemination of lung cancer helps define the treatment strategy. Positron emission tomography-computed tomography imaging could be false-negative for dry pleural dissemination of lung cancer. Clinicians should consider preoperative thoracoscopy in affected patients showing limited pleural effusion, interlobar fine granular shadows, and no metastasis on high-resolution computed tomography.

Bacteria in the complex and nontuberculous mycobacteria may affect a variety of animal species under human care and pose public health risks as zoonotic pathogens. A case of sudden onset of lethargy and increased respiratory effort in a 5-y-old, intact female reindeer () under managed care had progressed to severe dyspnea despite aggressive treatment. The animal was euthanized due to poor prognosis.

Advances in machine learning and computer vision technologies have led to the development of several artificial intelligence (AI) tools to detect abnormalities on CXRs, which may expand diagnostic support to a wider field of health professionals. There is a paucity of evidence on the impact of AI algorithms in assisting healthcare professionals (other than radiologists) who regularly review CXR images in their daily practice.

A rare autopsy case of malignant transcription factor E3 (TFE3)-rearranged perivascular epithelioid cell tumor (PEComa)-like neoplasm is presented. An 84-year-old woman manifested multiple cerebral infarctions and repetitive embolic events in the supra mesenchymal artery (SMA), and the presence of a mobile mass in the heart's left ventricle was also revealed. Tumoral lesions were also found in a pelvic space and a right pleural cavity, and a biopsy was performed from one of the disseminated tumor masses in the right pleura.

Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) accounts for 85% of all reported tuberculosis cases globally. Extrapulmonary involvement can occur in isolation or along with a pulmonary focus as in the case of patients with disseminated tuberculosis (TB). EPTB can occur through hematogenous, lymphatic, or localized bacillary dissemination from a primary source, such as PTB and affects the brain, eye, mouth, tongue, lymph nodes of neck, spine, bones, muscles, skin, pleura, pericardium, gastrointestinal, peritoneum and the genitourinary system as primary and/or disseminated disease.

Unlabelled: Tuberculosis (TB) can affect any organ, and at times more than one organ in any sequence, in which case it is referred to as disseminated tuberculosis (DTB). We report a patient who presented primarily for psychiatric symptoms of three months' duration, which later turned out to be a case of DTB involving the central nervous system as well as the spine and lungs.
Case Presentation: An elderly lady with subacute onset and worsening behavioural changes of three months' duration was referred for exclusion of organic brain disease.
