A new genus and species, Termitocnemis huangi gen. et sp. nov., of the tenebrionine tribe Amarygmini Gistel, 1848 is described from Fujian Province, southeastern China. All specimens were collected from a healthy nest of the termite genus Nasutitermes Dudley, 1890, implying that this species is truly termitophilous. Transitional habitus characters of the new species shed further light on the evolution of amarygmine beetles from free-living to termitophily. Given the discovery of this new genus a revised key is provided to the Oriental genera of termitophilous Amarygmini.

Over the past two decades, plant viral vectors have emerged as a powerful tool for the production of recombinant proteins in plants. Among the different plant viruses engineered to carry foreign genes of interest in their genomes, potyviruses have gained attention due to their polyprotein expression strategy and broad host range. To date, at least eleven different species belonging to the genus have been used for heterologous gene expression in both their natural and experimental hosts.

The biting midges Latreille, 1809 (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae) is highly relevant to epidemiology and public health, as it includes species that are potential vectors of human and animal arboviruses. The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of RNA viruses in species of the genus collected in the Carajás mining complex in the state of Pará. Assessing and determining genetic diversity in rose species is a crucial step for conservation efforts, the establishment of a core collection, and the development of new varieties. This study represents the first investigation of genetic diversity among various rose species at different ploidy levels in Tunisia, with the aim of elucidating the genetic structure of the genus. It encompasses both spontaneous and cultivated accessions, featuring local and introduced species recognized for their adaptability, ornamental value, and fragrance.

To elucidate the morphological diversity and genetic characteristics of the pollen of species, this study utilized a total of 46 samples encompassing six species and one variety of . Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was employed to examine the morphological traits of the pollen and to analyze the evolutionary patterns and genetic relationships among species. The results indicate that the pollen grains of the 46 germplasm are uniformly characterized as monads, heteropolar, bilaterally symmetrical, atreme, and possess a mono-sulcus.
