Introduction: The use of nitrous oxide/oxygen (NO/O) inhalation sedation in dentistry has increased worldwide. This study aimed to evaluate the nitrous oxide/oxygen (NO/O) inhalation sedation undergraduate teaching curriculum at Kuwait University Faculty of Dentistry.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey involving dental students in their clinical years (5th, 6th, and 7th years) at Kuwait University Faculty of Dentistry was conducted. Participation was voluntary and anonymous. The Likert scale-based survey comprised 17 statements that assessed various aspects of NO/O inhalation sedation in dental procedures. Continuous data variables were compared among different groups using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Categorical data variables were compared using either the Chi-squared test or Fisher's exact test.
Results: Fifty-six students participated in this survey-based study. All students attended an approximately equal number of practical hands-on-training sessions, with a mean of 1.7 (± 1.1) sessions (p = 0.813). Most students expressed confidence in administering NO/O inhalation sedation with an insignificant difference between each group (p = 0.276). However, low confidence level was observed in certain intraoperative and postoperative management aspects of providing NO/O to patients.
Conclusion: This study indicated that the teaching curriculum regarding NO/O inhalation sedation should be regularly evaluated. The quality of students' educational pathways should also be assessed through surveys to improve and develop dental school curricula to the highest standard levels.

Aims: To assess and compare the effectiveness of pharmacological and cognitive-behavioral modalities-behavioral methods (BM), nitrous oxide inhalation sedation (NOIS), and premedication with Diazepam-for alleviating anxiety during dental treatment, using completed treatment sessions and adverse outcomes as indicators.
Methods And Results: For 239 patients (515 dental records), 18-53 y/o, who underwent dental treatments under anxiety reduction measures, sessions under NOIS were categorized as "nitrous group" (456 sessions) versus premedication with Diazepam or behavioral strategies (control, 59 sessions). Outcomes were completed treatment sessions considering demographic and clinical parameters, and adverse outcomes during and between sessions.

When a difficult airway is anticipated, awake tracheal intubation can be considered. Usually, low doses of sedatives are administered during this procedure for minimal sedation and anxiolysis, such as midazolam and remifentanil. The newly developed ultra-short-acting benzodiazepine remimazolam has a pharmacokinetic profile that is more suitable for titration during awake tracheal intubation than the long-acting midazolam.

Rationale: It is imperative to be cautious about the potential systemic allergic reaction caused by the combined use of Qing Kailing Injection (QKI) and clindamycin as it may be life-threatening.
Patient Concerns: A 48-year-old female with a history of hypertension was admitted to a private hospital with a fever and cough. She was diagnosed with lung infection and received QKI infusion, followed by clindamycin infusion.
Introduction: Hypoxaemia is a frequent complication associated with endoscopy conducted under intravenous sedation, highlighting the need for effective and practical interventions. This systematic review aims to evaluate the effectiveness of nasal mask oxygenation in reducing the incidence of hypoxaemia during endoscopy under intravenous sedation compared with the conventional oxygen supply.
Methods And Analysis: This study strictly adheres to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis Protocol guidelines.

Objective: The agitation that can occur in patients undergoing vitreoretinal surgery on awakening from general anesthesia is a serious post-operative problem. In our study, we aimed to compare the effects of different anesthesia methods on emergence agitation in patients undergoing vitreoretinal surgery.
Method: Patients undergoing vitreoretinal surgery were divided into two groups: Total intravenous anesthesia (Group T) and inhalation anesthesia (Group D) according to the maintenance of anesthesia applied by consulting the records.
