is widely used in traditional Mexican medicine for several disorders, including those associated with inflammation. In this work, fifteen compounds were identified (-) from . Some of these compounds (-, , -) were detected for the first time in the plant, and quercetagetin 7--β-(6''-Protocatecoyl) glucopyranoside () has been identified for any plant species. The inflammation inhibition effects of these compounds were as follows: Amix (-) > > > > > Bmix (-) > ; and showed a dose-response behavior. The mixture of and was not active. This work contributes to the knowledge of the anti-inflammatory capacity of and the chemical identity of their bioactive compounds.

Background: Glia mediated neuroinflammation and degeneration of inhibitory GABAergic interneurons are some of the hall marks of pyrethroid neurotoxicity. Here we investigated the sex specific responses of inflammatory cytokines, microglia, astrocyte and parvalbumin positive inhibitory GABAergic interneurons to λ-cyhalothrin (LCT) exposures in rats.
Methods: Equal numbers of male and female rats were given oral corn oil, 2 mg/kg.

Potency optimization of macrocyclic peptides can include both modifying intermolecular interactions and modifying the conformational stability of the bioactive conformation. However, the number of possible modifications is vast. To identify modifications that enhance the stability of the binding conformations in a cost-effective manner, there is a need for a high-throughput in-silico method that scores the conformational stability of these modified molecules.

The reduction of CO mediated by transition metals has garnered significant interest, yet little is known about the reduction of CO using f-element compounds. Herein, the reduction of CO to CO by tetravalent uranium (U) compound UO is investigated via matrix isolation infrared spectroscopy and quantum chemical study. Our results reveal that a stable carbonate intermediate OUCO () can be prepared at low temperatures (4-12 K).

Background: Based on the low volatility and refractory nature of Tetracycline (TC), excessive use leads to its continuous accumulation in water environments, posing serious risks to the ecological environment and human health. Although a very limited number of nanomaterials capable of simultaneously detecting and removing TC have been fabricated, they generally exist issues associated with a single detection signal ("on" or "off") or low adsorption rates with low adsorption capacities. As a result, it is crucial to develop a reliable technique to achieve ratiometric detection as well as rapid and efficient removal of TC.

As a result of the current high throughput of the fast fashion collections and the concomitant decrease in product lifetime, we are facing enormous amounts of textile waste. Since textiles are often a blend of multiple fibers (predominantly cotton and polyester) and contain various different components, proper waste management and recycling are challenging. Here, we describe a high-yield process for the sequential chemical recycling of cotton and polyester from mixed waste textiles.
