Importance: Exercise intervention studies have shown benefits for patients with lung cancer undergoing surgery, yet most interventions to date have been resource intensive and have followed a one-size-fits-all approach.
Objective: To determine whether a personalized, clinic-aligned perioperative exercise program with remote monitoring and instructions can improve physical function and fatigue among patients undergoing surgery for lung cancer.
Design, Setting, And Participants: The Precision-Exercise-Prescription (PEP) randomized clinical trial is a single-center phase 3 trial.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) has become the most common chronic liver disease globally. MASLD is a multisystem disease where metabolic dysfunction plays a key role in the development of MASLD and its most relevant liver-related morbidities and extrahepatic complications, such as cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease and certain types of extrahepatic cancers. Among the least examined MASLD-related extrahepatic complications, an ever-increasing number of observational studies have reported a positive association between MASLD and the risk of serious bacterial infections (SBI) requiring hospital admission.

Background: This study aimed to describe nutritional therapy and clinical outcomes in critically ill patients with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) hospitalized in an intensive care unit, submitted or not to the prone position.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included adult patients with COVID-19 admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a public university hospital from June to December 2020.
