Clinicians, endoscopists, and pathologists define gastritis in different ways. Pathoanatomical gastritis is very common and the prevalence increases with age. Patients submitted to routine endoscopy were interviewed before endoscopy and biopsies were taken from gastric antrum and body. No correlation could be found between upper abdominal dyspepsia, endoscopic signs suggesting gastritis, and histological gastritis. Gastritis does not seem to constitute a clinical entity within non-ulcer dyspepsia.

Gastric cancer (GC) is a significant global health challenge, particularly in high-incidence regions like East Asia. Despite improvements in screening and treatment, the progressive nature of precancerous lesions-such as atrophic gastritis, intestinal metaplasia, and dysplasia-necessitates effective prevention strategies. This review evaluates the role of chemoprevention in GC, focusing on agents designed to target these precancerous lesions.

() infection is a known inducer of various gastrointestinal diseases, including gastritis, gastric ulcers, and gastric cancer. However, in recent years, research on the potential association between infection and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) has been scarce. This large-scale multicenter study, covering more than 360 hospitals across 26 medical systems in the United States, systematically evaluated the association between infection and MASH.

() infection is a typical microbial agent that interferes with the complex mechanisms of gastric homeostasis by disrupting the balance between the host gastric microbiota and mucosa-related factors, ultimately leading to inflammatory changes, dysbiosis, and gastric cancer (GC). We searched this field on the basis of PubMed, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Scopus databases. Most studies show that inhibits the colonization of other bacteria, resulting in a less variety of bacteria in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract.

Aim: The study aimed to determine the incidence of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) among newly diagnosed tuberculosis (TB) patients receiving daily drug regimen with fixed-dose combination treatment under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program.
Materials And Methods: A community-based prospective cohort study was carried out in the Udupi district. Over 12 months, all newly diagnosed TB patients of either gender were included from 63 primary health centers and 6 community health centers, and ADRs were recorded by personal interviews.

Introduction: Cobalamin deficiency (CD) due to pernicious anemia (PA) leads to hyperhomocystinemia, a risk factor for thrombosis. However, the clinical presentations and outcomes of hyperhomocystinemia-associated thrombosis (HAT) are not fully understood.
Methods: We undertook a literature search using PUBMED, SCOPUS and WEB OF SCIENCE databases for the terms "pernicious anemia AND thrombosis", "pernicious anemia AND embolism", "pernicious anemia AND thromboembolism", "autoimmune gastritis AND thrombosis", "autoimmune gastritis AND embolism", "autoimmune gastritis AND thromboembolism" through January 2024 and reviewed the published literature.
