Meningiomas are the most frequent extra-axial tumors of the nervous system. Multiple meningiomas are defined as the presence of two or more lesions that appear simultaneously or not, in different intracranial location, without association to neurofibromatosis. Each lesion must be evaluated individually for treatment, which consists in microsurgical resection in most cases. A 59-year-old woman presented with neurological symptoms from different anatomical site. Two extra-axial tumors of different location, at right sphenoid wing and the other in the tuberculum sellae were identified. Microsurgical resection was decided in one-step surgery, using the same craniotomy for both lesions with complete resection.

Rationale: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) originate from neuroendocrine cells and they are depicted with both nerve cells as well as hormone-producing cells. These tumors were initially discovered in extracranial locations and central nervous system involvement is often a result of metastasis. Herein, we present a very rare case of primary intracranial neuroendocrine tumor (PINET) that masqueraded as meningioma at the sphenoid ridge with metastasis to the spinal cord in a patient without a known history of extracranial NET at the time of diagnosis.

Objective: To investigate the impact of cigarette consumption on mucosal thickening in paranasal sinuses and the relationships of smoking-related factors and dental status with mucosal thickening at different maxillary sinus locations using MRI.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study investigated 1094 paranasal sinuses on MRIs by correlating mucosal thickening with smoking-related factors. Presence/absence of maxillary posterior teeth was correlated with mucosal thickening on the maxillary sinus floor and other sinus locations.

Isolated sphenoid fungal sinusitis (ISFS) is a rare condition characterized by fungal infection of the sphenoid sinus. It often presents with non-specific symptoms, which can lead to misdiagnosis. This study presents two unique cases of ISFS with mucocele that were initially misdiagnosed as chordoma based on preoperative radiographic findings.

Background And Objectives: Sinonasal fungal balls (FBs) most commonly occur in the maxillary sinus, followed by the sphenoid sinus (SS). Relatively little is known about the predisposing factors and pathogenesis of unilateral sphenoid sinus fungal balls (SSFBs) compared to maxillary sinus FBs. We investigated whether anatomical variations have clinical implications for the location of unilateral SSFBs.

To investigate the distribution and primary drainage sites of the venous drainage system in the pedicled nasal septal mucosal flap, as well as to examine protective measures for the venous system of the nasal septal mucosal flap and its application in repairing the nasal skull base through the anatomical study of the nasal septum mucosal venous system in cadavers. Gross anatomy dissections were performed on 13 sides perfused fresh frozen cadaveric head specimens. The nasal septum mucosal flap was separated along the perichondrium and subperiosteum, then passed across the vomer, anterior wall of sphenoid sinus, clivus, and towards the anterior edge of vertical plate of palatine bone.
