Background: Uremia (UR) is caused by increased UR-related toxins in the bloodstream. We explored the mechanism of enterogenous toxin methylmalonic acid (MMA) in calcium-phosphorus metabolic disorder in UR rats via the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.
Methods: The UR rat model was established by 5/6 nephrectomy.

This study evaluated a dual management approach to enhance plant-growth by improving soil fertility, reducing pathogenic stress using PGPR that affect phosphorus-transporter (pht) genes. Among 213 maize rhizobacterial isolates, 40 demonstrated the ability to solubilize tri-calcium phosphate, potassium, zinc, and silicon, showing various PGP traits. Nine of these isolates exhibited significant antagonistic activity against the plant pathogens Colletotrichum chlorophyti and Xanthomonas axonopodis.

Biodegradable microplastics (BMPs), which form as biodegradable plastics degrade in agricultural settings, may influence plant growth and soil health. This study investigates the effects of BMPs on tomato growth and the microbial mechanisms involved. A greenhouse experiment applied BMPs-polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), polylactic acid (PLA), poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene adipate) (PBSA), and poly(butylene-adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT)-to tomato plants.
