One of the key points in the frozen food processing is thawing with minimal damage to the quality. Since the commonly used methods for thawing of foods are slow and reduce the quality of the product, application of an efficient method seems necessary. In this research, thawing of tuna fish was performed by immersion ohmic method. Thawing rate roles a vital key in the quality and significantly increased by ohmic (, the mean of ohmic group) in comparison with conventional thawing (, the mean of conventional group) methods. Immersion ohmic thawing increased rate of thawing about 5 times. Parameters important in quality such as T-VBN, protein solubility, thawing evaporation loss, pH, thawing loss and press juice were measured. Group analyses showed significant difference between ohmic and conventional treatment in protein solubility, thawing evaporation and thawing loss (p < 0.05).

This research addresses the gap in efficient thawing methods by investigating the effects of ohmic thawing variables and freezing methods on the thawing speed and quality attributes of ground turkey breast, aiming to identify the optimal ohmic thawing method and compare it with traditional air and water thawing techniques. The variables for ohmic thawing consisted of voltage gradient (10, 15, and 20 V/cm), freezing method (Snap (rapid freezing of samples in liquid nitrogen at -210 °C), -70, and -20 °C), and probe type. The results showed that the snap-freezing method demonstrated superior functional and quality characteristics.

Objective: We investigated whether the addition of a luteal phase support drug benefits pregnancy and perinatal outcomes in modified natural-cycle frozen-thawed embryo transfer (mNC-FET) for women up to the age of 35 years.
Methods: We analyzed the clinical data of 3658 mNC-FET cycles of women up to the age of 35 years from the Reproductive Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2018 to December 2020 in a retrospective cohort study. The cycles were divided into three groups based on the luteal phase support protocol used.

Due to their importance in various fields such biotechnology, medicine, food science, preserving microorganisms effectively is essential. This study investigated cryopreservation of the edible fungus Pleurotus pulmonarius and the medicinal mushroom Ganoderma lucidum, for three years at -80°C in sorghum grains without cryoprotectants. We compared viability, growth, and yields with strains maintained on agar media at 5°C.

Background: Thin endometrial thickness (EMT) and advanced age are both common risk factors for adverse neonatal outcomes (ANOs). However, studies evaluating the impact of EMT and combined effect of EMT and age on ANOs remain scarce with conflicts.
Method: A retrospective cohort study was conducted on 7,715 singleton deliveries from frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles between 2017 and 2021.

Objective: To compare the clinical outcomes, including pregnancy rate, live birth rate, and miscarriage rate between vaginal progesterone Cyclogest suppository and Crinone vaginal progesterone gel as LPS in frozen-thawed embryo transfer in Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) cycles.
Methods: In this comparative retrospective chart review, 283 women who had frozen-thawed embryo transfer were assessed. The patients were divided into two groups based on the route of progesterone administration used as LPS.
