Background: Delayed extubation (DE) after cardiac surgery is associated with high morbidity, mortality, increased length of stay in the intensive care unit, and hospital costs. Various studies have identified factors that influence the occurrence of DE in patients after cardiac surgery, but no review has systematically synthesized the results.
Purpose: This review aimed to identify the influencing factors and the leading causes of DE in patients after cardiac surgery.

Integrating augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) into dental surgery education and practice has significantly advanced the precision and interactivity of dental training and patient care. This narrative review summarizes findings from extensive literature searches conducted in PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Embase, highlighting AR and VR technologies transformative impact and current applications. Research shows that AR improves surgical precision by offering real-time data overlays during procedures, leading to better outcomes in operations like dental implant placements.

The widespread use of neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets has raised concerns about the environmental impact of their disposal, prompting the need for sustainable recycling strategies. Traditional solvents used in recycling are toxic and flammable, making them risky to use. Ionic liquids are safer and greener options with low vapor pressure, high stability, and less flammability.

Transition metal-based catalysts with high efficiency and stability for overall water splitting (OWS) offer significant potential for reducing green hydrogen production costs. Utilizing sputtering deposition technology, we propose a deposition-diffusion strategy to fabricate heterojunction coatings composed of ultrafine FeCoNi-C-N transition metal interstitial solid solution (TMISS) nanocrystals and amorphous nitrided carbon (NC) on the pre-deposited NC micro column arrays. The diffusion of C and N atoms results in the formation of uniformly distributed TMISS nanocrystals, with an average diameter of ~1.
