Background: Adavosertib is a first-in-class, selective small-molecule inhibitor of Wee1. Olaparib is an inhibitor of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). Preclinical data suggest that adavosertib enhances the antitumor effect of PARP inhibitors.

Three-dimensional (3D) vegetation structure influences animal movements and, consequently, ecosystem functions. Animals disperse the seeds of 60%-90% of trees in tropical rainforests, which are among the most structurally complex ecosystems on Earth. Here, we investigated how 3D rainforest structure influences the movements of large, frugivorous birds and resulting spatial patterns of seed dispersal.

Hydrogen peroxide-based Fenton reaction can effectively degrade many small-molecule fluorescent dyes, leading to notable alterations in fluorescence signals. Additionally, the two-dimensional black phosphorus/platinum nanocomposite (BP/Pt) demonstrates exceptional catalase (CAT) characteristics. Based on these, a colorimetric-fluorescence dual-mode signal output pattern based on BP/Pt-Fenton reaction-rhodamine B tandem reaction system is reported.

Article Synopsis
  • OGT is a key enzyme involved in protein -GlcNAcylation and its increased levels are linked to tumor growth in various human cancers.
  • Research shows that removing OGT in mice leads to reduced tumor growth and activates the cGAS-dependent DNA sensing pathway, causing genomic instability and immune responses.
  • OGT functions by cleaving HCF-1 to maintain genomic stability in tumors, thus suppressing the activation of antitumor immunity mechanisms like CD8 T-cell responses.

MHC Hammer reveals genetic and non-genetic HLA disruption in cancer evolution.

Cancer Genome Evolution Research Group, Cancer Research UK Lung Cancer Centre of Excellence, University College London Cancer Institute, London, UK.

Disruption of the class I human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules has important implications for immune evasion and tumor evolution. We developed major histocompatibility complex loss of heterozygosity (LOH), allele-specific mutation and measurement of expression and repression (MHC Hammer). We identified extensive variability in HLA allelic expression and pervasive HLA alternative splicing in normal lung and breast tissue.
