Although oxidized phosphatidylcholines (oxPCs) play critical roles in numerous pathological events, the type and production sites of endogenous oxPCs remain unknown because of the lack of structural information and dedicated analytical methods. Herein, a library of 465 oxPCs is constructed using high-resolution mass spectrometry-based non-targeted analytical methods and employed to detect 70 oxPCs in mice with acetaminophen-induced acute liver failure. We show that doubly oxygenated polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA)-PCs (PC PUFA;O2), containing epoxy and hydroxide groups, are generated in the early phase of liver injury. Hybridization with in-vivo O labeling and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-tandem MS imaging reveals that PC PUFA;O2 are accumulated in cytochrome P450 2E1-expressing and glutathione-depleted hepatocytes, which are the major sites of liver injury. The developed library and visualization methodology should facilitate the characterization of specific lipid peroxidation events and enhance our understanding of their physiological and pathological significance in lipid peroxidation-related diseases.

Background: The surgical management of bursal-sided partial-thickness rotator cuff tendon tears is controversial. The 2 methods used are in situ repair (ISR), preserving the contingent of intact articular tendon fiber, or tear completion before repair (TCBR) according to the operating surgeon's usual technique. No study with sufficient power has demonstrated a superior technique.

Lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) has the advantages of simplicity and rapidness, and is widely used for the rapid detection of pesticides and other analytes. However, small molecule compounds such as pesticides are often analyzed using competitive LFIA (CLFIA), whose sensitivity often does not meet the actual needs. In this study, a noncompetitive LFIA (NLFIA) for deltamethrin (DM) with high sensitivity was developed by using anti-immunocomplex peptides (AIcPs).

The objective of this study is to gain insight into the current research frontiers, hotspots, and development trends in the field of immunization programs for women and children, and to provide scientific guidance and reference for follow-up research. Based on all the original research papers related to the research on immunization programs for women and children in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database, bibliometric studies and visual analysis were carried out to explore the research frontiers, hotspots and development trends, and to analyze the risk factors affecting the vaccination coverage of immunization programs for women and children. Eight hundred forty-three papers obtained from 1,552 institutions in 96 countries/regions from January 1950 to August 2024, coauthored by 4,343 authors.

Objective: This study conducts a rigorous meta-analysis of existing literature to rigorously examine the efficacy of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) in ameliorating functional deficits associated with Chronic Ankle Instability (CAI).
Methods: Literature searches were conducted in multiple databases including China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP, Wanfang, China Biology Medicine disc (CBM), PubMed, EBSCO (Medline, CINAHL, SPORTDiscus, and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Source), Embase, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science for randomized controlled trials assessing the effects of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation interventions on patients with Chronic Ankle Instability. The publication timeframe spanned from the inception of each database until April 10, 2024.

Objective: The efficacy of the transcanal endoscopic approach in tympanoplasty, cholesteatoma removal, and stapedotomy is detailed. This study reviews evidence on the feasibility of endoscopic ossiculoplasty as a suitable alternative to traditional microscopic ossiculoplasty.
Data Sources: PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library were searched from inception to 19 June 2024 for articles comparing endoscopic and microscopic ossicular chain reconstruction.
