Background: Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in both men and women, and one of the more widely recognized preventable cancers. Adenosquamous carcinoma (ASC) of the colon/rectum is an uncommon disease that consists of both glandular and squamous components, and the most common site of ACS is the right and transverse colon.
Case Report: Here, we present the case of a 78-year-old woman, who complained of abdominal pain. Colonoscopy revealed a circumscribed tumor in the ascending colon, and no specific lesion was detected in the other areas of the colon or rectum. ASC (pT3N0M0) was diagnosed from right hemicolectomy specimens. Three months after the first surgery, the serum levels of tumor markers had gradually increased, and a new tumor was subsequently detected in the sigmoid colon 2 months later. The sigmoid lesion was surgically resected and diagnosed as ASC (pT3N3M0). Strong PD-L1 expression was also found in the squamous component.
Conclusion: To our knowledge, this is the first report of a recurrent sigmoid colon ASC that likely originated from the ascending colon, and PD-L1/PD-1 signaling was likely involved in the immune escape mechanism.

Objectives: The accurate assessment of lymph node metastasis (LNM) can facilitate clinical decision-making on radiotherapy or radical hysterectomy (RH) in cervical adenocarcinoma (AC)/adenosquamous carcinoma (ASC). This study aims to develop a deep learning radiomics nomogram (DLRN) to preoperatively evaluate LNM in cervical AC/ASC.
Materials And Methods: A total of 652 patients from a multicenter were enrolled and randomly allocated into primary, internal, and external validation cohorts.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of Fuzheng Yiai Decoction (FZYA) on epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) drug resistance in lung adenosquamous carcinoma (ASC). The expression of thyroid transcription factor 1 (TTF1) and p63 in tumor cells was observed by immunofluorescence staining. Meanwhile, 25 nude mice successfully inoculated with the human lung ASC cell line NCI-H596 were randomly divided into five groups, namely, the model, gefitinib, low-, medium-, and high-dose FZYA with gefitinib groups.

A major paradigm shift in the diagnosis, management, and survival outcomes of early and advanced non-small cell lung cancer has transpired over the past few decades in thoracic oncology with the incorporation of molecular testing, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, neoadjuvant, and adjuvant approaches. However, transformation in the management and survival outcomes of rare lung tumors is lacking. Given the scarcity of these tumor types, randomized trials are rarely performed, and treatment is extrapolated from case series, tumor-agnostic trials, or cancers with similar histology.

Pancreatic adenosquamous carcinoma (PASC) is a rare subtype of pancreatic cancer (PC), with no established consensus on the optimal treatment for postoperative liver metastasis recurrence. We report a case of a 48-year-old male patient who underwent radical surgery and was pathologically diagnosed with microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) PASC. The patient experienced liver metastasis recurrence following single-agent gemcitabine adjuvant chemotherapy.

Rationale: As a paraneoplastic syndrome, Trousseau syndrome (TS) is a collective term for various thromboembolic events caused by clotting and fibrinolytic abnormalities in patients with tumors, clinically manifesting as venous and arterial thromboembolism, as well as disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). The incidence rate of arterial thrombosis in patients with TS is 2% to 5%.
Patient Concerns: This article reports 2 patients with TS-induced cerebral infarction.
