Reproductive health can be affected by obesity through various mechanisms. Obesity-associated inflammatory markers and altered hormones can have direct and indirect impacts on female reproductive health. However, little is known about obesity prevalence and trend among infertile women and obesity association with infertility in reproductive-age women of the U.S. In a cross-sectional study, we sought to conduct a secondary analysis of National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) data from 2011 to 2019. A total of 6,035 infertile and non-pregnant fecund women aged 20-44 years were included in a nationally representative sample of the U.S. The weighted prevalence of obesity (BMI ≥ 30) among infertile women was 41.63% for the period 2011-2019. Obese women had 62% higher odds of infertility (95% CI 1.24, 2.17) compared to non-obese women of reproductive age (20-44 years). However, there was no specific trend of obesity among infertile and non-pregnant fecund women aged 20-44 years in the U.S. from 2011 to 2019. Given the negative impact of obesity on female reproductive health and in light of our results, it is important to counsel obese infertile reproductive-age women of the U.S. about behavioral changes that include weight management. Future longitudinal studies are needed to evaluate the risk of infertility among obese women.

Combined oral contraceptives (COCs) are widely used by reproductive-aged women. Current data suggest that long-term use of COCs can suppress ovarian reserve markers, including anti-mullerian hormone and antral follicle count, which may negatively impact ovarian response and oocyte yield in patients undergoing planned oocyte cryopreservation to preserve future reproductive potential. Discontinuation of COCs can improve ovarian stimulation outcomes, though the ideal duration of cessation is unknown.

Research Question: Does a short co-incubation of gametes in conventional IVF affect post-insemination outcomes and embryo morphokinetics?
Design: Sibling oocyte randomized pilot study conducted between December 2020 and March 2023. Eligible couples (n = 55) were women aged 18-43 years with BMI 35 km/m or lower and male normal semen parameters. Cumulus oocyte complexes (COC) (six to 12) were randomized in a 1:1:2 proportion in long (16-18 h) or short (2 h) co-incubation IVF exposure and ICSI, respectively.

Methods: This study's analysis was based on data collected from 2081 women who were sampled from participants of the 2016 Ethiopia Demographic and Health Survey based on risk of pregnancy criteria: age between 15 and 49 years, currently married or cohabitating, sexually active, not used contraception method during the 5 years before interview, not menopausal, and not pregnant. We used a current duration (CD) approach in which for each woman we calculated the length of time-at-risk of pregnancy (CD value) in months.

Objective: To build a prediction nomogram for early prediction of live birth probabilities according to number of oocytes retrieved in women ≤ 35 years of age.
Methods: A prediction model was built including 9265 infertile women ≤ 35 years of age accepting their first ovum pick-up cycle from January 2018 to December 2022. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression was performed to identify independent predictors and establish a nomogram to predict reproductive outcomes.
