Sleep hygiene can be defined as practicing habits that facilitate sleep; poor sleep hygiene is common among elite athletes, and improving this can be one way to enhance sleep indices. Given the large inter-individual variability of sleep, there is a need for further investigation into individualised sleep hygiene for elite female athletes, with consideration for the practical application of the method. Using a self-controlled time series design with repeated measures, n = 16 professional female footballers completed a 9-week study during mid-season.

Coarse-grained models have become ubiquitous in biomolecular modeling tasks aimed at studying slow dynamical processes such as protein folding and DNA hybridization. These models can considerably accelerate sampling but it remains challenging to accurately and efficiently restore all-atom detail to the coarse-grained trajectory, which can be vital for detailed understanding of molecular mechanisms and calculation of observables contingent on all-atom coordinates. In this work, we introduce FlowBack as a deep generative model employing a flow-matching objective to map samples from a coarse-grained prior distribution to an all-atom data distribution.

Advancements in cryo-EM have stimulated a revolution in structural biology. Yet, for membrane proteins near the cryo-EM size threshold of approximately 40 kDa, including transporters and G-protein coupled receptors, the absence of distinguishable structural features makes image alignment and structure determination a significant challenge. Furthermore, resolving more than one protein conformation within a sample, a major advantage of cryo-EM, represents an even greater degree of difficulty.

microRNAs (miRNAs) are central post-transcriptional gene expression regulators in healthy and diseased states. Despite decades of effort, deciphering miRNA targets remains challenging, leading to an incomplete miRNA interactome and partially elucidated miRNA functions. Here, we introduce microT-CNN, an avant-garde deep convolutional neural network model that moves the needle by integrating hundreds of tissue-matched (in-)direct experiments from 26 distinct cell types, corresponding to a unique training and evaluation set of >60 000 miRNA binding events and ~30 000 unique miRNA-gene target pairs.

Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is a worldwide zoonotic public health issue. The reasons for this include a lack of specific therapy options, increasing antiparasitic drug resistance, a lack of control strategies, and the absence of an approved vaccine. The aim of the current study is to develop a multiepitope vaccine against CE by in-silico identification and using different Antigen B subunits.
