Diabetic retinopathy(DR)is the major microvascular disease in diabetic patients, and it is also one of the main blinding eye diseases in the current population. The typical pathological change of DR in the eyes is vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)-mediated neovascularization induced by retinal ischemic stimulation.Therefore,anti-VEGF drugs have gradually become one of the mainstream methods to treat DR and DR-induced diseases such as diabetic macular edema.Recent studies have proved that anti-VEGF drugs have certain effects on ocular blood vessels and blood flow in patients with DR,while the specific mechanism has not been fully elucidated. This article summarizes the research progress on the effects of intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF drugs on the ocular blood vessels and blood flow in patients with DR.

Purpose: To evaluate the presence and progression of maculopathy in patients with sickle cell disease (SCD) using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and OCT-Angiography (OCTA), and to identify clinical/laboratory risk factors for progression during follow-up.
Methods: Complete ophthalmic examination, including fundoscopy and macular SD-OCT/OCTA scans, was performed in consecutive SCD-patients (HbSS/HbSβ0/HbSβ+/HbSC genotype) during baseline and follow-up visits. SCR stage was based on fundoscopy instead of the Goldberg classification, since fluorescein angiography was not routinely used.

Background: This study aimed to comprehensively explore the thickness and topographic distributions of retinal vessel alterations of different myopic eyes by using swept-source OCT angiography (SS-OCTA).
Methods: One hundred myopes were included in this observational cross-sectional study. All participants underwent a series of ocular examinations of biometrical parameters, including spherical equivalent refraction (SER), axial length (AL), intraocular pressure (IOP), curvature radius (CR), and others.

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is an autosomal dominant genetic multisystem phakomatosis that can affect the skin, bones, and nervous system. NF1 typically presents with skin lesions, including freckles, café-au-lait macules, plexiform neurofibromas, and bony dysplasia, and is usually accompanied by a family history of the disorder. Ocular manifestations vary, but iris Lisch nodules and optic nerve gliomas are the most common features.

Methods: Twenty-four right eyes of 24 healthy participants were included. Changes in choroidal circulation hemodynamics were determined using LSFG to evaluate the mean blur rate (MBR) of the macula, which represents choroidal blood flow velocity.

Neonatal protein C (PC) deficiency, which presents with purpura fulminans or hemorrhagic infarction, has a poor prognosis. In a sporadic case of prenatal-onset purpura fulminans, preemptive intervention saved the patient but not her vision. Among 38 survivors from 47 cases with ocular lesions and biallelic PROC variants, 23 had total blindness and eight had unilateral blindness.
