There are no studies in literature on the effect of inoculant concentrations on plant growth promotion. Therefore, in the present study, two experiments were carried out, one under pot conditions and the other in the field with cotton crop, in order to verify the effect of and concentrations on the biometric and nutritional parameters of plant and soil, in addition to yield. The pot experiment evaluated the effect of different concentrations, ranging from 1 × 10 to 1 × 10 colony-forming units per milliliter (CFU mL) of microorganisms (Bv188), (Bs248), (Bs290), (F111), (F112), and sp. section (F113) on parameters plant growth promotion and physicochemical and microbiological of characteristics soil. Results indicated that the different parameters analyzed are influenced by the isolate and microbial concentrations in a different way and allowed the selection of four microorganisms (Bs248, Bv188, F112, and F113) and two concentrations (1 × 10 and 1 × 10 CFU mL), which were evaluated in the field to determine their effect on yield. The results show that, regardless of isolate, inoculant concentrations promoted the same fiber and seed cotton yield. These results suggest that lower inoculant concentrations may be able to increase cotton yield, eliminating the need to use concentrated inoculants with high production cost.

How can we create a dual benefit scenario that improves both the ecological environment and export performance? This study aims to investigate whether the introduction of the Environmental Protection Tax Law (EPTL) has promoted the growth of corporate export. By treating the formal implementation of China's EPTL on January 1, 2018, as an exogenous economic event, this paper takes A-share listed companies in China from 2013 to 2022 as a sample and uses the Difference-in-Differences (DID) model to analyze the specific effects of the EPTL on corporate exports. The results indicate that the EPTL improves corporate exports significantly.

Nutrient recovery from aquaculture sludge is vital for promoting hydroponic plant growth and achieving near-zero solid waste discharge in aquaponic systems. Modified biological aerated filters (MBAFs) are promising because of the dual capabilities of aquaculture sludge collection and aerobic mineralization. However, the bioconversion kinetics, which is indirectly related to the packed media, need to be improved.

This study aims to demonstrate the effect of toadflax (bufalin) on erlotinib resistance in nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by inhibiting the fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR). The microfluidic mobility transferase and caliper mobility-shift assays were employed to detect the FGFR inhibition by bufalin and the binding reversibility. Further, the inhibitory effects of bufalin were determined in HCC827 and HCC827/ER cells in vitro, investigating relative FGFR overexpression by quantitative reverse transcriptase-PCR (RT-qPCR) and FGFR downstream proteins, that is, FGFR substrate 2 (FRS2), extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), and S6 by western blot analysis.

Modulating Optogenetic YAP In Vitro and In Vivo.

Methods Mol Biol

YAP is a central regulator of the Hippo-YAP signaling axis, an evolutionarily conserved pathway that modulates organ growth and regeneration. Dysregulation of YAP signaling leads to uncontrolled proliferation, promoting epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and invasion in cancer metastasis. Exogenous manipulation of YAP activity at the second-to-minute timescale is an important step in studying the signaling pathway.
