Background: Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) are a rare and biologically diverse group of tumors that are challenging to image. Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT is the most sensitive imaging tool for these tumors, and while its use has increased over time, its clinical impact remains unclear, particularly for clinical scenarios involving surveillance after treatment. We sought to reassess its clinical utility across all stages.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents the predominant form of primary liver cancer, yet early, precise, and noninvasive detection continues to pose a considerable clinical challenge. Glypican-3 (GPC3), a membrane-bound proteoglycan, is markedly overexpressed in most HCC cases, while exhibiting low expression in normal and hepatitis-affected liver tissues. Given its crucial role in malignant transformation and tumor progression, GPC3 emerges as a compelling target for imaging.

This article evaluates whether parameters derived from the gallium-68-labeled prostate-specific membrane antigen ( Ga-PSMA) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging studies of primary prostate cancer (PCa) lesions were associated with Gleason score (GS), D'Amico risk class, Candiolo nomograms, and the metastatic status of the disease. We retrospectively evaluated newly diagnosed PCa patients who underwent Ga-PSMA PET/CT before therapy. Age, baseline serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA), and metastatic status were recorded.

PET imaging of bacterial infection could potentially provide added benefits for patient care through non-invasive means. [Ga]Ga-desferrioxamine B-a radiolabelled siderophore-shows specific uptake by human-pathogenic bacteria like or and sufficient serum stability for clinical application. In this report, we present data for automated production of [Ga]Ga-desferrioxamine B on two different cassette-based synthesis modules (Modular-Lab PharmTracer and GRP 3V) utilising commercially obtainable cassettes together with a licensed Ge/Ga radionuclide generator.

Prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted radioligand therapies represent a highly effective treatment for metastatic prostate cancer. However, high and sustain uptake of PSMA-ligands in the salivary glands led to dose limiting dry mouth (xerostomia), especially with α-emitters. The expression of PSMA and histologic analysis couldn't directly explain the toxicity, suggesting a potential off-target mediator for uptake.
