Objective: To review the literature about children's and parent's perceptions on surgical attire.
Data Source: A systematic search was conducted in the databases EMBASE, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS), PubMed, PsycINFO, Scopus and Web of Science. Grey literature was searched on Google Scholar, Open Grey and ProQuest Dissertations, and Theses Database.
Data Synthesis: A total of 2,567 papers were identified. After a two-phase selection, 15 studies were included in narrative synthesis. Children favored wearing white coats in five of the nine included studies (55.5% [95%CI 48.3-62.7]; p=1.00). With respect to parents' preferences, results of vote counting showed that in 11 of 15 included studies, they favored physicians wearing white coats (73.3% [95%CI 67.9-78.6]; p=0.11).
Conclusions: Children and parents have preferred physicians to wear a white coat with a very low certainty of evidence.

Methods: Patients and clinicians at a tertiary care centre participated in qualitative interviews on usability, acceptability, feasibility, efficiency/effectiveness, impact of device on behaviour/clinical practice and preferences/barriers. Interviews were audiotaped, transcribed and coded using a constant comparison method for category themes.

Dental anxiety usually stands in the way of obtaining adequate dental treatment, and the dental setting and team are considered factors that may affect dental anxiety. Many cross-sectional studies have indicated that dentally anxious children prefer their dentist to wear friendly attire rather than a conventional white coat, but no clinical trial has detected the effect of wearing a child's friendly attire on anxiety levels among young patients. A total of 120 children were enrolled in this study and divided into four groups in which the dentists wore either friendly attire or white coat in the reception and treatment areas.

Artificial intelligence (AI) in animal behavior and welfare research is on the rise. AI can detect behaviors and localize animals in video recordings, thus it is a valuable tool for studying social dynamics. However, maintaining the identity of individuals over time, especially in homogeneous poultry flocks, remains challenging for algorithms.
