The organic extracts of the Red Sea soft coral has led to the identification of two neolemnane-type sesquiterpenoids: paralemnolins X and Y (, ). In addition to these newly characterized compounds, ten known metabolites (-) were isolated. Previously reported compounds were elucidated by literature comparison of spectroscopic data (1D and 2D NMR as well as MS data). In vitro antimicrobial activity was investigated for compounds (-) against , , and . Compound showed antimicrobial activity against all assayed microorganisms.
