BRCA1/BRCA2-containing complex subunit 3 (BRCC3) has been proved to exert pro-inflammatory effect in various inflammatory diseases through different mechanisms, but its involvement in pulpitis remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the regulatory role and mechanisms of BRCC3 in modulating dental pulp cell inflammation and pulpitis progression. The expression of BRCC3 was observed to be elevated in human/mouse pulpitis samples and lipopolysaccharide-stimulated human dental pulp cells (hDPCs).

Introduction: Previous studies have shown () esterase is a key mediator of dental composite biodegradation, which can contribute to recurrent caries. This study is to investigate the inhibitory effects of a novel Chemically-Modified-Curcumin (CMC 2.24) on esterase activities and related dental material biodegradation.

Studies have shown that the prognosis of dental implant treatment in patients with diabetes is not as good as that in the non-diabetes population. The nerve plays a crucial role in bone metabolism, but the role and the mechanism of peripheral nerves in regulating peri-implant osteogenesis under Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) situation remains unclear. In this study, it was shown that high glucose-stimulated Schwann cells (SCs) inhibited peri-implant osteogenesis via their exosomes.

DNA replication stress (RS), a prevalent feature of various malignancies, arises from both genetic mutations and genotoxic exposure. Elevated RS levels increase the vulnerability of cancer cells to ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3-related kinase inhibitors (ATRis). Here, we screened for DNA damage response inhibitors that enhance ATRi-induced cytotoxicity using SWI/SNF complex-deficient cells and identified a potent synergy between ATRi and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitor (PARPi), particularly in SMARCA4-deficient cells.

Background: Peri-implantitis is an inflammatory bone disease that seriously affects the health of dental implants. Pyroptosis plays an important role in peri-implantitis and inhibition of pyroptosis may point out a new direction for treating the disease. The long non-coding RNA Negative Regulator of Interferon Response (lncRNA NRIR) is closely related to peri-implantitis and may be involved in the process of pyroptosis.
