Background: Recombinant Necator americanus Glutathione-S-Transferase-1 (Na-GST-1) formulated on Alhydrogel (Na-GST-1/Alhydrogel) is being developed to prevent anemia and other complications of N. americanus infection. Antibodies induced by vaccination with recombinant Na-GST-1 are hypothesized to interfere with the blood digestion pathway of adult hookworms in the host.

Background: Immunoglobulin replacement therapy (IgRT) is the current standard of care for primary antibody deficiency patients (majority of all primary immunodeficiency (PID) diseases), with growing real-world evidence supporting use for secondary immunodeficiency (SID) patients. Infusion methods and practices can affect patients' satisfaction with their treatment and perception of their health-related quality of life.
Methods: An online survey of US patients with PID and SID was conducted.

Lumpy skin disease virus ( family- genus) is the aetiological agent of LSD, a disease primarily transmitted by hematophagous biting, affecting principally cattle. Currently, only live attenuated vaccines are commercially available, but their use is limited to endemic areas. There is a need for safer vaccines, especially in LSD-free countries.

: The development of a five-in-one vaccine microneedle patch (five-in-one MN patch) aims to address challenges in administering vaccines against Diphtheria (DT), Tetanus (TT), Pertussis (wP), Hepatitis B (HBsAg), and type b (Hib). Combining multiple vaccines into a single patch offers a novel solution to improve vaccine accessibility, stability, and delivery efficiency, particularly in resource-limited settings. : The five-in-one MN patch consists of four distinct microneedle arrays: DT and TT vaccines are coated together on one array, while wP, HepB, and Hib vaccines are coated separately on individual arrays.

The vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) plays an important role in inflammation, where it facilitates the recruitment of leukocytes to the inflamed area via leukocytes' VLA-4 and endothelial cells' VCAM-1 interaction. VCAM-1 expression is also upregulated in certain cancers. VCAM-1 has seven Ig-like domains, with domains 1 and 4 shown to be critical for VLA-4 binding.
