This article explores the challenges facing injured migrant farm workers in the workers compensation system in Canada's province of Ontario, with a focus on their fight for return to work justice. Told from the perspective of one of the lawyers who represented the workers, it highlights a recent victory achieved by 4 workers in the Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program in defending their rights to workers' compensation support. The workers' compensation tribunal decided that the workers' compensation board must evaluate these workers ability to return to work, access retraining, and receive compensation based on their labor markets in Jamaica-instead of based on fictional job prospects in Ontario.

To evade legal controls, new psychoactive substances (NPS), which have been designed as substitutes for traditional and synthetic drugs, are gradually dominating the drug market. Synthetic cannabinoids (SCs), which account for the majority of NPS, are rapidly being derivatized; consequently, controlling increasing abuse by merely listing individual compounds is difficult. Background: Subglottic stenosis is a significant clinical challenge in pediatric anesthesia, often necessitating interventions that can lead to various postoperative complications. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of prophylactic continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) application on recovery time and airway complications in pediatric patients with subglottic stenosis undergoing balloon dilatation.
Methods: A prospective, double-blinded, parallel-group, randomized controlled study was conducted at Health Sciences University Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital on pediatric patients with subglottic stenosis, aged from 0 to 12 years and who underwent elective balloon dilatation under general anesthesia.
