Crown ether functionalization boosts CO electroreduction to ethylene on copper-based MOFs.

Chem Commun (Camb)

January 2025

Key Laboratory of Green Chemistry & Technology, Ministry of Education, College of Chemistry, Sichuan University, Chengdu, Sichuan 610064, P. R. China.

The electroconversion of CO into ethylene (CH) offers a promising solution to environmental and energy challenges. Crown ether (CE) modification significantly enhances the CH selectivity of copper-based MOFs, improving CH faradaic efficiency (FE) in CuBTC, CuBDC, and CuBDC-NH by 3.1, 1.

January 2025

Univ. Bordeaux, INRAE, Bordeaux INP, Bordeaux Sciences Agro, UMR 1366, OENO, ISVV, F-33882 Villenave d'Ornon, France.

Procyanidins are widely distributed in plant-derived foods, and consist of flavanol oligomers and polymers. Recently, the crown procyanidin sub-family, characterised by a unique macrocyclic structure, has been identified in grapes and wine. This study reports the development and validation of a rapid and quantitative analytical method measuring crown procyanidin concentration in red and white wines using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) coupled with a Q-TOF mass spectrometer.

Young mothers' prenatal attachment and later attachment-related representations of their young children.

Infant Ment Health J

January 2025

Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice, The University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Although mother-to-infant attachment begins during pregnancy, few studies have explored correlates of prenatal attachment and associations with later measures of attachment representations. This study explored whether prenatal attachment is related to attachment representations during toddlerhood and whether associations between them reflect the broader quality of mothers' relationships. Young, ethnically/racially diverse, low-income American women (n = 160) were followed from pregnancy through 30 months postpartum.

Objective of this study was to examine the clinical efficacy and mechanical characteristics of the modified titanium post in the restoration of subgingival defect teeth. Teeth with subgingival defects depth ≥ 2 mm were randomly restored using a fiber post after crown lengthening and a modified titanium post, respectively. Gingival index, sulcus bleeding index, probing depth, tooth mobility, and gingival papilla height were recorded before and after restoration.
