Ambrosia trifida is an invasive weed that destroys the local ecological environment, and causes a reduction in population diversity and grassland decline. The evolution of herbicide resistance has also increased the difficulty of managing A. trifida, so interspecific plant competition based on allelopathy has been used as an effective and sustainable ecological alternative.

An antiviral effect of extracts prepared from aerial parts of nine species and from leaves of two species of the genus L. was investigated for potential antiviral activity toward influenza A (H1N1) virus. The toxicity of dry extracts was analyzed, and the most selective extract was identified in vitro.

An intrinsic metal cluster NIR-II emission of the {TaBr} aqua/hydroxocomplexes was determined in aqueous solutions under inert atmosphere. The photoluminescence (PL) is enhanced in DO, and the lifetime scale expands from nanoseconds to microseconds. Possible cluster emission transitions have been assigned and analyzed from a computational perspective.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the impact of adding hydroalcoholic extracts of saffron petals, yeast cell walls, and bentonite to the diets of broiler chickens contaminated with aflatoxin B and ochratoxin A.
  • Results show that incorporating these additives improves the growth and health of the chickens by enhancing carcass weight, lowering harmful enzyme levels, and improving small intestine morphology compared to those on a positive control diet.
  • The findings suggest that saffron petal extract, especially at 750 mg/kg, is effective in mitigating the negative effects of these toxins in broiler diets.
