Enteric septicaemia of catfish was first detected in 1976 as an economically significant disease associated with commercial catfish production. Initially, was a host specific pathogen of catfish species but has also been reported from other hosts other than the catfish such as the zebrafish. has not been isolated in humans hence it is not a zoonotic infection. There has been no previous report of isolation of this organism in humans. This was a case report of a 5 year old boy who presented with fever, vomiting, passage of bloody stool of 6 days and abdominal pain of a day duration. In the case of this 5 year old boy who presented with features of dysentery, blood culture using BACTEC™ grew may be a pathogen which can infect humans just like another closely related species, Although, has not been reported in humans, could this be the first case? Non availability of diagnostic technique appropriate for its diagnosis may explain the rare incidence of the organism in humans, hence many cases would have been treated without isolating the organism.

Purpose: Graves' ophthalmopathy (GO), the most common extrathyroidal manifestation of Graves' disease, is disabling and disfiguring. Recent studies have shown that statins have a protective effect on individuals with GO. Statins were reported to trigger ferroptosis in some disorders, but little is known about whether statins protect against GO via ferroptosis.

The electroconversion of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) into C2 fine chemicals and hydrogen (H2) presents a promising solution for advancing the circular plastics economy. In this study, we report the electrooxidation of ethylene glycol (EG) to glycolic acid (GA) using a Pt-Ni(OH)2 catalyst, achieving a high Faraday efficiency (>90%) even at high current densities (250 mA cm-2 at 0.8 V vs.

Background: Supernumerary digits, or polydactyly, have been described in various species including humans, wild and domestic animals. In horses, it represents the most common congenital limb malformation, which has only been described in isolated cases or nuclear families. Molecular aetiology has not been reported.

The nematode C. elegans has long served as a gold-standard model organism in aging research, particularly since the discovery of long-lived mutants in conserved aging pathways including daf-2 (IGF1) and age-1 (PI3K). Its short lifespan and small size make it highly suitable for high-throughput experiments.
