This study evaluates the effectiveness of two intraocular lens (IOL) measurement formulas—SRK/T and Barrett Universal II—specifically for cataract patients with angle-closure glaucoma (ACG).
The research involved 146 ACG patients who underwent cataract surgery, with improvements noted in visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and anterior chamber depth three months post-operation, showing significant differences between the two formulas.
Key findings indicated a significant difference in postoperative spherical equivalent (SE) between the two groups, and both IOL formulas were affected by axis length and anterior chamber depth, highlighting their importance in predicting refractive outcomes.
