Background: Guidelines for prostate cancer treatment in men with limited life expectancy are based on expert opinion. Patient preferences for when to defer treatment based on longevity are unknown. We sought to define life expectancy thresholds at which men are more likely to choose conservative management in the context of varying risks of cancer death and treatment-related side effects.

Background: Despite the growing availability of advanced medical therapies for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), significant gaps remain in treatment initiation. Targeted education and point-of-care clinical decision support may address this gap and lead to improved patient outcomes.
Methods: A multiphase IBD-focused provider education and decision support program spanning 10 years was developed consisting of (1) symposia-based education (n = 1101 learners; 2014 to 2019), (2) point-of-care education (n = 8547 learners) with clinical decision support tool (CDST) deployment (n = 11 940 users, n = 954 learners; 2019 to 2023), and (3) data-driven platform optimization (2024).
Background: Use of online crowdfunding to mitigate health-related cost burden is common in the US, but its usage among candidates for metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS) is unknown. We aimed to identify GoFundMe campaigns fundraising for MBS and characterize sources of financial strain. We also aimed to determine factors associated with successful crowdfunding.

Purpose: We sent surveys to a large number of radiation oncologists with active thoracic cancer practices and applied the Delphi method over 3 rounds to generate consensus dose-volume histogram metrics. We used these results to create consensus-based organs-at-risk dose constraints and target goal templates for practical implementation.
Methods And Materials: In this institutional review board-approved study, data were collected using REDCap electronic data capture on a secure server.
