Objective -to outline the basic principles and content of practical training in forensic medicine in a medical University. The historically formed system of teaching at the department and its material and technical equipment make it possible to effectively conduct the practical classes in various forms of education. The current structure of the practical lesson allows students to be taught at a high professional level and follows the basic principles of teaching the subject. The analysis of the practical classes' organization at the department shows the effectiveness of teaching and the successful development of the studied discipline.
