Anatomic teaching has long informed surgical knowledge, experience, and skills. One tool for teaching that emerged during the Renaissance was the fugitive anatomic sheet, which used flap layers to reveal different levels of anatomy. In 1538, Vogtherr introduced the first fugitive sheets, which included illustrations of male and female figures with a torso paper flap that, when lifted, revealed the internal organs in a cartoonish style.

Highly dense zirconia ceramic dental crowns were successfully fabricated by a digital light processing (DLP) additive manufacturing technique. The effects of slurry solid content and exposure density on printing accuracy, curing depth, shrinkage rate, and relative density were evaluated. For the slurry with a solid content of 80 wt%, the curing depth achieved 40 μm with minimal overgrowth under an exposure intensity of 16.

3D printing of a flexible polyurethane elastomer is highly demandable for its potential to revolutionize industries ranging from footwear to soft robotics thanks to its exceptional design flexibility and elasticity performance. Nevertheless, conventional methods like fused deposition modeling (FDM) and vat photopolymerization (VPP) polyurethane 3D printing typically limit material options to thermoplastic or photocurable polyurethanes. In this research, a water-borne polyurethane ink was synthesized for direct ink writing (DIW) 3D printing through the incorporation of cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs), enabling direct printing of complex, monolithic elastomeric structures at room temperature that can maintain the designed structure.

Corneal scarring is a common cause of blindness, affecting millions globally each year. A huge gap between the demand and supply of donor tissue currently limits corneal transplantation, the only definitive therapy for patients with corneal scarring. To overcome this challenge, researchers have harnessed the efficacy of 3D bioprinting to fabricate artificial corneal stromal constructs.
