Published: September 2021

This study evaluated the effects of a staff training package on the frequency (rate) of trial presentations to children diagnosed with autism. The training consisted of a combination of repeated timings, modeling plus frequency building, and modeling in vivo with the client plus frequency building. The experimenters implemented 20-min training sessions or frequency-building sessions with staff that used 1-min timings for trial presentation in each phase. Training resulted in a higher frequency of trials across all 3 participants in the modeling and feedback phase.

The monkeypox virus (MPXV), which is a member of the Orthopoxvirus genus in the class Poxviridae, is the causative agent of the zoonotic viral infection MPXV. The disease is similar to smallpox, but it is usually less dangerous. This study examines the evolution of the MPXV epidemic in Canada with an emphasis on the effects of control employing actual data.

An application of matching algorithms to generalize small-area estimates of chronic pain prevalence to neighbourhoods across England.

Background: Local decision-makers lack granular data on the prevalence of chronic pain in their populations. We applied matching methods to generalize estimates from one local survey in England to other neighborhoods across the country with a similar sociodemographic composition.

Methods: We used propensity score matching to match lower-layer super output areas (LSOA) across England with 230 surveyed LSOAs in North Staffordshire by age, sex, ethnicity, deprivation, and rurality.

Incidence and survival of European adolescents and young adults diagnosed with sarcomas: EUROCARE-6 results.

Department of Medical Oncology, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milan, Italy.

Background: Epidemiological data for sarcoma in adolescents and young adults (AYAs) and across age groups are limited. We aim to: 1) update sarcoma incidence, survival, and changes over time in European AYAs; 2) provide an updated comparison of sarcoma survival in AYAs versus children and mature adults.

Methods: We calculated crude incidence rates (IR) per 100,000 European population per year from 2006 to 2013.

Building upon an earlier study of heme-nitrosyl complexes (. , , 20496-20505), we examined a wide range of nonheme {FeNO} complexes (the superscript represents the Enemark-Feltham count) and two dinitrosyl iron complexes using DMRG-CASSCF calculations. Analysis of the wave functions in terms of resonance forms with different [π*(NO)] occupancies (where = 0-4 for mononitrosyl complexes) identified the dominant electronic configurations of {FeNO} and {FeNO} complexes as Fe-NO and Fe-NO, respectively, mirroring our previous findings on heme-nitrosyl complexes.
