Background: The underlying pathogenesis of pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune skin disorder, remains incompletely understood. An integrative analysis comprising DNA methylation, mRNA expression, and proteomic data in patients with pemphigus vulgaris was conducted to identify potential pathogenic contributors and explore the molecular mechanisms involved in its pathogenesis.

Results: The analysis revealed differentially methylated regions (DMRs) in the promoter, exon, intron, and downstream regions in the peripheral blood DNA of patients with pemphigus vulgaris.

Background: Chronic gingivostomatitis in cats (FCGS) is a moderately to severely painful condition, potentially caused by inadequate immune response to oral antigenic stimulation. Salivary peptidome analysis can identify inflammatory protein mediators and pathways involved in oral mucosal immune activation and may indicate potential therapeutic options for FCGS.

Objective: Evaluate the diversity and abundance of salivary peptides in cats with FCGS using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) and nanoscale liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (nano LC-MS/MS).

Dairy products are of great benefit to human health, and the nutritional differences between different dairy products have attracted attention. In this study, DIA proteomics technique, combined with parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) as a validation method, was used for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of proteins in sheep, goat, and cow milk. In total, 4316 proteins were identified.
