The COVID-19 pandemic has caused delays and difficulties for individuals seeking abortion services.
These challenges have resulted in many people having later-term abortions.
As a consequence, higher gestational ages at the time of abortion have been observed.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is associated with delays in and barriers to accessing abortion, which are associated with higher gestational ages at the time of abortion.
