Background: A new paradigm of hybrid working exists, with most office workers sharing their work between the office and home office environment. Working from home increases time spent or prolonged sitting, which is associated with an increased risk of chronic disease. Interventions to reduce sitting time, specifically designed for both the office and home-office environments, are required to address this growing public health issue.

Background: In an efficient and effective healthcare delivery, good communication plays an essential role. The communicative health literacy (COMM-HL) of the patients is an important attribute, but the number of validated COMM-HL assessment tools is low, and they do not cover all aspects of COMM-HL. That's why a new scale has been developed within an international collaboration.

Transcriptomic and Biochemical analysis of Procambarus clarkii upon exposure to Pesticides: Population-Specific responses as a sign of pollutant resistance?

The effects that anthropogenic stressors may have on modulating species' plasticity has been relatively unexplored; however, it represents a scientific frontier that may offer insights into their ability to colonize new habitats. To explore the advantage that inhabiting polluted environments may offer to invasive species, we selected the crayfish Procambarus clarkii, a species that can colonize and thrive in a wide range of aquatic environments, including heavily polluted ones. Here, we studied the molecular and physiological responses of crayfish when experimentally exposed to a pesticide mix of azoxystrobin and oxadiazon at sublethal concentrations.

The implementation of the Medical Devices Regulation (MDR) 2017/745/EU leaves manufacturers facing new requirements to certify their medical devices (MDs). Our objective is to accurately assess the impact of regulation on the availability of cardiovascular MDs in healthcare facilities. High-risk cardiovascular MDs appear to be heavily impacted by the regulation, with reclassification leading to mandatory clinical investigations.

Objectives: Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) is a thrombotic microangiopathy associated with severe deficiency in ADAMTS13. ADAMTS13 deficiency may be secondary to absent or dysfunctional protein production due to mutations in the ADAMTS13 gene (congenital TTP) or autoantibody-mediated clearance and/or inhibition (immune-mediated TTP). This autoimmunity may, albeit rarely, occur secondary to certain medications (eg, ticlopidine).
