Early-life gut microbiota development depends on a highly synchronized microbial colonization process in which diet is a key regulator. Microbiota transition toward a more adult-like state in toddlerhood goes hand in hand with the transition from a milk-based diet to a family diet. Microbiota development during the first year of life has been extensively researched; however, studies during toddlerhood remain sparse.

An ongoing challenge among healthcare certifying organizations is identifying an effective manner of evaluating a physician's competency. The medical field is constantly changing, with new technology, research and pharmacology available, and physicians must be kept up to date in order to properly care for their patients. Maintenance of certification and specifically, recertification exams, are used to verify that a high standard of care is consistently met across all medical specialties.

With an aim to improve the precision of isotopic standards of special nuclear materials like uranium and plutonium, National Bureau of Standards (NBS) undertook the recertification of isotopic standards prepared between 1960 and 1970. In a recent initiative, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in collaboration with New Brunswick Laboratory Program Office (NBL PO) undertaken efforts to recertify SRM 946, SRM 947, and SRM 948. The primary goal of this drive is to lower the uncertainties associated with the isotopic compositions of plutonium standards.

Objective: AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs) are state-administered programs that pay for medical care and medication for people living with HIV (PLWH) in the United States. In October 2021, the federal policy requiring that clients recertify for the program every 6 months was repealed, giving states the authority to set their own recertification policies. However, little data exist on the costs and health effects of alternative recertification schedules.
