Graphdiyne (GDY) is a new two-dimensional carbon material with high charge carrier mobility, excellent conductivity, more suitable band gap, and natural pores was introduced as a new electrochemiluminescent sensing platform. Herein, the metal organic framework (MOFs) used for enrichment of luminophore with grafting Ru(bpy)(phen-NH)(Ru-complex) and Ru-complex amine-rich nitrogen-doped carbon nanodots(Ru-NCNDs) via both encapsulating and external decoration and decoration of SmS QDs as coreactant. Then, the MOF enriched Ru-complex (Ru@MOF@NCNDs-Ru@SmS QD) located on a GDY modified ITO electrode developed as a novel and efficient ECL platform. According to the Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculation, the band gap of graphdiyne/Ru(bpy)(phen-NH) system decreased compared to graphdiyne, Ru-complex and also graphene oxide/Ru(bpy)(phen-NH)system, which enhanced (2 folds) the signal response of the presented ECL platform. The ECL response signal of the suggested emitter with high ECL efficiency (13.34%) increased 8 and 4 folds compared to GDY/Ru-NCNDs and GDY/Ru@MOF@NCNDs-Ru as platforms, respectively. The proposed ECL platform applied for CA19-9 antigens detection at concentration range 0.0005 UmL to 200 UmL and detection limit of 0.00013 UmL.The development of GDY based platform for decorating nano luminophores, not only provides the design of ECL luminophores with high performance but also promises the application of the presented strategy for fabrication of ultrasensitive bio affinity sensors as candidates in clinical monitoring and diseases diagnostics.

The extracellular domain (ECD) of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) serves as a promising biomarker for the early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer (BC). However, due to the heterogeneity of tumors, assessing HER2 status through a core needle biopsy presents significant challenges. In this study, we propose a facile and high-performance electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA) platform utilizing a herceptin-encapsulated gold nanoclusters (HER-AuNCs)/(diisopropylamino)ethanol (DIPEA-OH) ECL system for the clinical evaluation of HER2 ECD in BC patients.

Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) is nowadays a powerful technique widely used in biosensing and imaging, offering high sensitivity and specificity for detecting and mapping biomolecules. Screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) offer a versatile and cost-effective platform for ECL applications due to their ease of fabrication, disposability, and suitability for large-scale production. This research introduces a novel method for improving the ECL characteristics of screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs) through the application of CO laser treatment following fabrication.

The ultrahigh-sensitive detection of HS is reported using a novel dual-ligand metal-organic framework (MOF) electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor. By combining tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (TCPP) and 1,3,6,8-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl) pyrene (TBAPy) as ligands and employing zirconium as the metal source, a spindle-shaped Zr-PyTCPPMOF was successfully designed and synthesized. Notably, the multiple nitrogen structures of porphyrin provided abundant binding sites for sulfur (S), further enhancing the ECL signal of Zr-PyTCPPMOF.

In this study, we used meso-tetra (4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (TCPP) as an organic ligand to modify a lanthanide-based metal-organic framework as an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) platform to sensitively detect anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH). La-MOF amplified the ECL signal by suppressing the aggregation-caused quenching created by TCPP self-aggregation. Utilizing the reversible cycling of the mixed-valence transition metal ion (Cu/Cu and Mo/Mo) and the electrical conductivity of CuMoS and silver nanoparticle (AgNP), CuMoS-AgNP as a dual co-reaction promoter constantly generated sulfate radical anions (SO) and thus amplified the ECL signal.

Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) primarily refers to DNA sequence polymorphism caused by variations in a single nucleotide, which is closely associated with many diseases such as genetic disorders and tumors. However, trace DNA mutants typically exist in a large pool of wild-type DNA, making it challenging to establish accurate and sensitive approaches for SNP detection. Herein, we developed an advanced ligase chain reaction (LCR) strategy to output the circular DNA walker for signal amplification, which realized accuracy and sensitive SNP detection based on the electrochemiluminescent (ECL) platform.
