In this study, we aimed to investigate the taxonomy and various characteristics of IBSS-2 strain and describe its cultivation potential in mid-latitude climate during springtime. In addition, our analysis confirmed the essentiality of combining morphological, physiological, and other characteristics when identifying new species and strains of the genus , along with the molecular marker (internal transcribed spacer (ITS) of rDNA gene). The pilot cultivation of microalgae during the springtime in the south of Russia demonstrated that the climatic conditions of this region allow cultivation for biomass accumulation during this season, highlighting light and temperature conditions as the main factors determining the growth rate of . A two-fold increase in daily insolation and, consequently, in temperature in April resulted in a more than three-fold increase in productivity of culture. The maximum productivity of both in April and May was comparable and reached 2 g m day, and the total yield for 8-10 days was about 14.5-16 g m. The additional CO supply into the culture did not show any significant effect on its growth rate; however, it contributed to maintaining the diversity of morphometric characteristics over a longer period of time. Changes in the morphological and morphometric characteristics of algal cells, including size reduction, were observed during the batch cultivation. Thus, the production potential of the green carotenogenic microalga was determined in the springtime, which allows expanding the seasonal interval of its cultivation in temperate latitudes.

Mental illness, affecting one in eight people worldwide, is often exacerbated by stigma-which can result in self-stigmatization, isolation, and loneliness and negatively impact access to health care, education, and social connection. Previous research has found that stigma is best reduced through a combination of education about the stigmatized population and intentional contact with individuals from that population. Studies also note the benefits of community-based, culturally-relevant interventions and cultural experiences such as live music.

Purpose: This study aimed to monitor the expression of B-cell translocation gene 2 (BTG2) in granulosa cells of patients undergoing IVF/ICSI with respect blastocyst quality outcomes.

Methods: We recruited 181 women undergoing IVF/ICSI cycles for infertility. Granulosa cells were extracted from follicular fluid.

Maximizing saccharification efficiency of lignocellulose and minimizing the production costs associated with enzyme requirements are crucial for sustainable biofuel production. This study presents a novel semi-fed-batch saccharification method that uses a co-culture of and strain A9 to efficiently break down high solid-loading lignocellulosic biomass without the need for any external enzymes. This method optimizes saccharification efficiency and enhances glucose production from alkaline-treated rice straw, a representative lignocellulosic biomass.

Serving as a dedicated process analytical technology (PAT) tool for biomass monitoring and control, the capacitance probe, or dielectric spectroscopy, is showing great potential in robust pharmaceutical manufacturing, especially with the growing interest in integrated continuous bioprocessing. Despite its potential, challenges still exist in terms of its accuracy and applicability, particularly when it is used to monitor cells during stationary and decline phases. In this study, data pre-processing methods were first evaluated through cross-validation, where the first-order derivative emerged as the most effective method to diminish variability in prediction accuracy across different training datasets.

High-performance strain and corresponding fermentation process are essential for achieving efficient biomanufacturing. However, conventional offline detection methods for products are cumbersome and less stable, hindering the "Test" module in the operation of "Design-Build-Test-Learn" cycle for strain screening and fermentation process optimization. This study proposed and validated an innovative research paradigm combining computer vision with deep learning to facilitate efficient strain selection and effective fermentation process optimization.
