Unlabelled: Ichthyosis uteri is an exceedingly rare condition in which the entire surface of the endometrium is replaced by stratified squamous epithelium. It is a benign lesion and its association with benign and malignant conditions has been reported in the literature (Bewtra, Xie, Hunter, Jurgensen (Arch Pathol Lab Med 29:e124-e125, 2005)). Originally described as an endometrial response to iatrogenically introduced caustic substances, similar changes have since been described in association with a variety of inflammatory conditions of the endometrium. It is concluded that a squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix extended proximally into the endometrium (Bagga, Jaswal, Datta, Mahajan (Indian J Pathol Microbiol 51:267-268, 2008)). The possibility of significant cervical pathology should be considered when plaques of squamous epithelium with low-grade dysplastic changes are identified in an endometrial biopsy or curettage.

SMARCA4-deficient undifferentiated cervical carcinoma is an extremely rare and aggressive malignancy, and effective treatment options are lacking. We experienced a rare case involving a patient with SMARCA4-deficient undifferentiated cervical carcinoma who was successfully managed in the long term. A woman in her 40s presented with a chief complaint of abnormal vaginal bleeding.

Objective: To explore the risk factors associated with the pathological progression to invasive carcinoma following the conization of cervical high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and to construct a risk prediction model to guide preoperative risk assessment and optimize the selection of surgical approaches.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 3337 patients who underwent cervical conization for HSIL at Hunan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from December 2016 to March 2022. The patients were categorized into the pathological progression group (398 cases) and the nonprogression group (2939 cases) based on postconization pathology results.

Aims: Our study aimed to further confirm the clinical significance of the tumour budding activity and cell nest size-based (TBNS) grading scheme in cervical squamous cell carcinomas (SCC).
Methods And Results: We applied the TBNS system to assess the prognostic value in an institutional cohort of well-annotated cervical SCC consisting of 312 consecutive cases with surgical resection, no neoadjuvant chemotherapy and higher than stage pT1a. We found that high budding activity, single cell and TBNS grade 3 were more frequently associated with a decreased overall survival (OS) time and disease-free survival (DFS) time (P < 0.

Background: Mixed adenoneuroendocrine carcinoma (MANEC) of the cervix is a rare malignant tumor with high malignancy and poor prognosis, of which large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma and HPV-independent adenocarcinoma are particularly rare, which have been reported limitedly in the literature. Here, we present 2 cases of MANEC of the cervix and discuss important considerations for diagnosing cervical poorly differentiated carcinoma.
Case Presentation: we reported two cases of mixed large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the cervix, one HPV-independent and one HPV-associated, both with vaginal bleeding.

Aim: To demonstrate how workshop and mentoring across a network of radiotherapy centers helped in transitioning from point A to volume-based image guided brachytherapy in carcinoma cervix.
Materials And Methods: Based on discussion with different centers across the network, the lapses in cervical cancer treatment were identified and a workshop was designed to change the practice pattern. The main focus of the workshop was to streamline EBRT dose prescription protocols and implement volume based image guided brachytherapy through mentoring and hands on training.
