Because of their strong and tunable interactions, Rydberg atoms can be used to realize fast two-qubit entangling gates. We propose a generalization of a generic two-qubit Rydberg-blockade gate to multiqubit Rydberg-blockade gates that involve both many control qubits and many target qubits simultaneously. This is achieved by using strong microwave fields to dress nearby Rydberg states, leading to asymmetric blockade in which control-target interactions are much stronger than control-control and target-target interactions. The implementation of these multiqubit gates can drastically simplify both quantum algorithms and state preparation. To illustrate this, we show that a 25-atom Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state can be created using only three gates with an error of 5.8%.

Relapse is a major challenge in treating opioid addiction, including oxycodone. During abstinence, oxycodone seeking progressively increases, a phenomenon termed incubation of oxycodone craving. We previously demonstrated a causal role of orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) in this incubation.

DNA conformations, which encompass the three-dimensional structures of the DNA strand, play a crucial role in genome regulation. During DNA translocation in a nanopore, various conformations occur due to interactions among force fields, the fluidic environment, and polymer features. The most common conformation is folding, where DNA moves through the nanopore in a two-strand or multi-strand manner, influencing the current signature.

Nanopore sensing is a label-free single-molecule technique that enables the study of the dynamical structural properties of proteins. Here, we detect the translocation of cytochrome (Cyt ) through an asymmetric thin nanopore with photothermal heating to evaluate the influence of temperature on Cyt conformation during its translocation in an electric field. Before Cyt translocates through an asymmetric thin SiN nanopore, ∼1 ms trapping events occur due to electric field-induced denaturation.

Labor epidural analgesia can be maintained through programmed intermittent epidural bolus (PIEB), continuous epidural infusion (CEI), or patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA). Our department changed from CEI+PCEA to PIEB+PCEA as the maintenance method. The higher hourly dose setting in the current regimen brought to our concern that side effects would increase with proportional staff workloads.
