Plume visualization is essential for unveiling the dynamics of hydrothermal systems. This paper introduces an interactive exploration tool, PlumeViz, designed to facilitate the extraction and visualization of multifaceted plume characteristics from data collected by a sonar device. The tool addresses the challenges posed by undersampled volume data and intricate plume structures by providing an interactive platform for plume identification, visual representation, and analysis.

The emerging field of epitranscriptomics is reshaping our understanding of post-transcriptional gene regulation in inflammatory diseases. N-acetylcytidine (acC), the only known acetylation modification in RNA catalyzed by N-acetyltransferase 10 (NAT10), is known to enhance mRNA stability and translation, yet its role in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) remains unclear. In this study, we discovered that Nat10 expression correlates with inflammatory and apoptotic pathways in human ulcerative colitis CD4 T cells.

Background: The ongoing emergence of evolving SARS-CoV-2 variants poses great threaten to the efficacy of authorized monoclonal antibody-based passive immunization or treatments. Developing potent broadly neutralizing antibodies (bNabs) against SARS-CoV-2 and elucidating their potential evolutionary pathways are essential for battling the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Methods: Broadly neutralizing antibodies were isolated using single cell sorting from three COVID-19 convalescents infected with prototype SARS-CoV-2 strain.

Reversion inducing cysteine rich protein with kazal motifs (RECK), a Kazal motif-containing protein, regulates pro-inflammatory cytokines production, migration of inflammatory cells, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and Wnt pathways and plays critical roles in septic inflammatory storms and vascular endothelial dysfunction. Recently, RECK has been defined as the negative regulator of adisintegrin and metalloproteinases (ADAMs) and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), which are both membrane "molecular scissors" and aggravate the poor prognosis of sepsis. To better understand the roles of RECK and the related mechanisms, we make here a systematic and in-depth review of RECK.

Background: Previous studies have shown that dyslipidemia is significantly associated with primary frozen shoulder and may be a risk factor for the development of primary frozen shoulder. However, these findings may be biased by a number of confounding factors. We investigated the association between serum lipids and primary frozen shoulder by retrospective analysis and two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) methods.
