Objective: Closed-loop insulin systems represent a technological advance in diabetes management but have rarely been studied in pregnancy. We report a case of a patient with type 1 diabetes mellitus who was previously a user of the Paradigm VEO pump and then migrated to Medtronic 670G. . We reviewed the case of a G1P0 patient with type 1 diabetes, treated with the Medtronic 670G system during pregnancy; a comparison with current literature was done.

Results: The patient achieved improved glycemic control as measured by time spent in different ranges as follows: <70 mg/dL, 8-4% and 70-180 mg/dL, 83-94%. Secondary outcomes included reduction of stress, anxiety, fear of hypoglycemia, and the psychological burden related to the disease. There were no obstetric or neonatal complications.

Conclusion: The Medtronic 670G closed-loop system was used safely in a pregnant woman; nevertheless, further research is needed to validate this system in this patient population.

Purpose: TP53 mutations are common in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). We evaluated their clinical impact in patients treated with targeted agents or immunotherapy in the KCSG HN15-16 TRIUMPH trial.

Materials And Methods: We analyzed clinical characteristics and outcomes of patients with TP53 mutations in the TRIUMPH trial, a multicenter, biomarker-driven umbrella trial in Korea.

Background: Cardiovascular biomarkers are crucial for monitoring cancer therapy-related cardiac toxicity, but the effects on early stage are still inadequate. To screen biomarkers in patients with breast cancer who receive anthracycline-containing chemotherapy, we studied the behavior of six biomarkers during chemotherapy and their association with chemotherapy-related cardiac toxicity.

Methods: In a prospective cohort of 73 patients treated with anthracycline-containing chemotherapy, soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (sST2), high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T, N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), myoglobin, creatine kinase isoenzyme MB, and heart-fatty acid binding protein were measured at baseline, during chemotherapy cycle (C1-C6).

Coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) often co-occur, presenting substantial health risks, particularly following acute myocardial infarction (AMI). While percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a prevalent treatment, complications such as microvascular dysfunction may lead to heart failure, necessitating additional therapies. This editorial examines the emerging roles of sacubitril/valsartan and sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors in managing post-PCI.

Background: Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder, accompanied by multiple endocrine neoplasms of the parathyroid, pancreas, pituitary, and other neoplasms in the adrenal glands. However, in some cases, patients clinically diagnosed with MEN1 may be genotype-negative.

Case Presentation: A 56-year-old female was diagnosed with MEN1 based on a macroprolactinoma (19 mm in diameter), primary hyperparathyroidism, and a cortisol-producing adrenal adenoma, without a family history.

Objectives: Glucocorticoid cosecretion is more common in primary aldosteronism (PA) than previously thought. Chronic subtle cortisol excess in patients with mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS) negatively affects bone health. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of MACS on bone density and turnover markers in PA patients.
