Rare-earth (RE) superhydrides have great potential as high-temperature superconductors, with recent discoveries almost achieving room-temperature superconductivity in compressed LaH and YH. Here, we continue to study the rare-earth hydrides by focusing on the new hydrides that the lightest element Sc and the heaviest element Lu formed under pressure. Two new superconducting hydrides ScH ( ∼ 18.5 K at 131 GPa) and LuH ( ∼ 12.4 K at 122 GPa) have been identified both with cubic structure by combining X-ray diffraction and electrical resistance techniques. Among all of the REH, only the superconducting properties of ScH and LuH have been experimentally confirmed. Our current results may offer guidance to other REH, which were predicted to be superconductors but have not been experimentally confirmed.

Cultural adaptation of positive behavioral interventions and supports tier 1 in a Chinese elementary school.

Research has shown the positive effects of positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) on student outcomes. Despite its effectiveness, there is limited research on the cultural adaptation of PBIS in other cultures, especially in Asia. Based on cultural adaptation frameworks, the current case study reports the cultural adaptation and implementation process of PBIS Tier 1 in a Chinese elementary school, including the steps and strategies in its engagement, design, and implementation.

Background: Schools are both learning environments for students and workplaces for faculty. Recognizing the role of organizational factors in staff health in school environments, the study aimed to explore which factors, including transformational leadership, teachers' perceived management support and HPS accreditation awards, were most associated with promoting a healthy lifestyle for teachers.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was undertaken of 137 elementary schools in 2014, involving 433 directors and 2090 teachers.

Despite the existing research and evidence for teacher praise, this strategy has been studied less frequently in secondary school settings. To better understand and support teacher praise across all school settings, it is important to understand gaps in the literature, especially related to middle and high school settings. In this review, we examined middle and high school praise research by screening a total of 523 unique abstracts and identified, reviewed, and coded 32 empirical studies.

Topological Nodal Surface and Quadratic Dirac Semimetal States and van Hove Singularities in ScH and LuH Superconductors.

Applied Physics, Division of Materials Science, Department of Engineering Sciences and Mathematics, Luleå University of Technology, Luleå SE-97187, Sweden.

The coexistence of non-trivial topology and superconductivity in a material may induce a novel physical phenomenon known as topological superconductivity. Topological superconductors have been the subject of intense research, yet there are severe limitations in their application due to a lack of suitable materials. Topological nodal surface semimetals with nearly flat nodal surfaces near the Fermi level can be promising materials to achieve topological superconductivity.
