The conductivity of Zn-MOF-on-Co-MOF synthesized by one-pot method is improved by searching for the optimum carbonization temperature, which overcomes the limitation of traditional MOF. In order to further enhance electron transfer, the mesoporous PtPdCo trimetal was introduced, which provided considerable load capacity for methylene blue (MB) and reverse complementary DNA (sDNA), and also showed excellent catalytic activity for MB. In this study, the conductivity of aptasensor was improved by modifying carbonized MOF as the base material.

Lithium-sulfur batteries (LSBs) face challenges from the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) and slow redox kinetics. In this study, a NiCo-Doped 3D Ordered Mesoporous Carbon (NiCo-3DOMC) composite material is synthesized using a gel-crystalline template and sol-gel method to modify polypropylene separators in LSBs. Density Functional Theory calculations and experiment results demonstrate that under a magnetic field, the NiCo-3DOMC enhances adsorption and catalyzes the conversion of LiPSs, effectively mitigating the shuttle effect and boosting redox kinetics.

A stimuli-responsive drug delivery system is developed for controlled delivery of curcumin (Cur) and chemo-photothermal therapy of breast cancer (BC). Cur is first loaded into mesoporous polydopamine nanoparticles (mPDA NPs) by π-π stacking, and then the Cur loaded mPDA NPs (mPDA NPs@Cur) are encapsulated in the hydrogels prepared through the crosslinking of oxidized konjac glucomannan (oxKGM) and carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS). Owing to the pH-sensitivity of the hydrogels and the outstanding photothermal conversion capability of mPDA NPs, the release of Cur from the hydrogels can be greatly accelerated in acidic media upon near infrared (NIR) irradiation.

An efficient regiospecific co-assembly (RSCA) strategy is developed for general synthesis of mesoporous metal oxides with pore walls precisely decorated by highly dispersed noble metal nanocrystals with customized parameters (diameter and composition). It features the rational utilization of the specific interactions between hydrophilic molecular precursors, hydrophobic noble metal nanocrystals, and amphiphilic block copolymers, to achieve regiospecific co-assembly as confirmed by molecular dynamics simulations. Through this RSCA strategy, we achieved a controllable synthesis of a variety of functional mesoporous metal oxide composites (e.

Nitrate is a crucial nutrient in the natural nitrogen cycle. However, human activities have elevated nitrate levels in aquatic ecosystems beyond natural thresholds, posing risks to human health and the environment. In this work, ZnCl-doped mesoporous silica nanoparticles (ZnCl@MSN) were synthesized using a one-pot preparation method, leading to a streamlined process with reduced time and energy consumption.
