Zoonotic metacestodes present a significant threat to both veterinary and public health. Specifically, the prevalence of metacestodes is often concentrated among consumers of raw meat and underdeveloped countries. The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence of condemned red offal and examine the gross and histopathology features of zoonotic metacestodes.

Isolated pulmonary cysticercosis is a rare manifestation of human cysticercosis which mainly affects central nervous system, skeletal muscles, eyes and subcutaneous tissues. Pulmonary involvement is usually a part of disseminated disease and mainly presents as bilateral pulmonary nodules. We report a rare case of isolated pulmonary cysticercosis presenting as lung cyst with pleural effusion.

Unlabelled: This study aimed to investigate the demographic characteristics, anatomical distribution, and histopathological features of hydatidosis and cysticercosis in a Nepalese population presenting to a tertiary care hospital. The study also aimed to provide a better understanding of the clinical and pathological aspects of these diseases in the local context.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed all cases of hydatidosis and cysticercosis reported in the Department of Pathology at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital between January 2013 and December 2019.

Taenia hydatigena is a non-zoonotic worm that has dogs and wild canids as definitive hosts. Its presence induces cross reactions in certain diagnostic tests for porcine cysticercosis caused by T. solium, the occurrence of which has a considerable public health and economic impact.

Pulmonary cysticercosis is one of the rare complications of cysticercosis that occurs worldwide, especially in developing countries. Its clinical presentation can range from asymptomatic, pleural effusion, and constitutional symptoms to incidental pulmonary nodule. Here, we report pulmonary cysticercosis detected as a pulmonary nodule in computed tomography.
