To develop a ferroptosis gene-based survival-predictor model for predicting the prognosis of patients with digestive tract tumors, a pan-caner analysis was performed. Based on unsupervised clustering and the expression levels of ferroptosis genes, patients with cancer were divided into two clusters. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator method Cox regression analysis was used to establish the survival-predictor model. Based on the pan-cancer analysis, a 20 gene-based survival-predictor model for predicting survival rates was developed, which was validated in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. The survival-predictor model accurately predicted the prognosis of patients with digestive tract tumors.

Purpose: To describe the incidence and mortality of upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) from 2002-2020 using data from the Korean National Health Insurance Service, which contains data from the entire Korean population.
Materials And Methods: Reimbursement records for 43,255 patients diagnosed with primary UTUC (according to the International Classification of Disease 10th revision code C65 and C66) between 2002-2020 were retrieved. The study period was split into four: period I (2002-2005), period II (2006-2010), period III (2011-2015), and period IV (2016-2020).

Gastrointestinal tumors, including colorectal and liver cancer, are among the most prevalent and lethal solid tumors. These malignancies are characterized by worsening prognoses and increasing incidence rates. Traditional therapeutic approaches often prove ineffective.

Multiple Myeloma (MM) is a malignancy characterized by abnormal production of monoclonal immunoglobulins in plasma cells. Bispecific antibodies have emerged as a significant advancement in MM treatment, offering high effectiveness and specificity by targeting different antigens such as BCMA, CD38, and FcRH5. However, the risk of infection poses a major challenge in MM patients, which is thought to be influenced by various factors.

Background And Purpose: Working memory, a primary cognitive domain, is often impaired in pediatric brain tumor survivors, affecting their attention and processing speed. This study investigated the long-term effects of treatments, including surgery, radiotherapy (RT), and chemotherapy (CT), on working memory tracts in children with posterior fossa tumors (PFTs) using resting-state functional MRI (rs-fMRI) and diffusion MRI tractography.
Methods: This study included 16 medulloblastoma (MB) survivors treated with postoperative RT and CT, 14 pilocytic astrocytoma (PA) survivors treated with surgery alone, and 16 healthy controls from the Imaging Memory after Pediatric Cancer in children, adolescents, and young adults study (NCT04324450).

Background: Recent research indicates a role of gut microbiota in development and progression of life-threatening diseases such as cancer. Carcinomas of the biliary ducts, the so-called cholangiocarcinomas, are known for their aggressive tumor biology, implying poor prognosis of affected patients. An impact of the gut microbiota on cholangiocarcinoma development and progression is plausible due to the enterohepatic circulation and is therefore the subject of scientific debate, however evidence is still lacking.
