is one of the main causative agents of human diarrhea. Pigs are a reservoir and the most common source of infection for humans. The aim of this study was to analyze the expression of and genes in strains with different enterotoxic properties, isolated from humans and pigs. The experiment involved two groups of strains producing and not producing enterotoxin YstA, which were isolated from humans and pigs. All strains were and -positive. The expression of and genes was analyzed by quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR). The relative expression level of the gene was significantly higher than the expression level of the gene in strains isolated from humans with clinical symptoms of yersiniosis. In other strains, a significant decrease in gene transcription was observed, and the relative expression level of the gene was significantly higher than the expression level of the gene. Statistically significant differences were not observed in either group of strains isolated from pigs. The results of our study revealed a correlation between mRNA expression levels of and genes in strains isolated from humans.

Background: Knee injuries resulting in purely cartilaginous defects are rare, and controversy remains regarding the reliability of chondral-only fixation.
Purpose: To systematically review the literature for fixation methods and outcomes after primary fixation of chondral-only defects within the knee.
Study Design: Systematic review; Level of evidence, 5.

The Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) is a group of closely related nontuberculous mycobacteria that can cause various diseases in humans. In this study, genome sequencing, comprehensive genomic analysis, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing of 66 MAC clinical isolates from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand were carried out. Whole-genome average nucleotide identity (ANI) revealed the MAC species distribution, comprising 54 (81.

Purpose: Subclinical peroneal neuropathy without overt foot drop has been linked to increased fall risk in adults, yet remains under reported due to subtle symptoms and lack of awareness. Patients with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) often experience other nerve entrapments, prompting this study to evaluate CTS (a proxy for peroneal nerve entrapment) as a significant predictor of time to first fall.
Methods: Data from the Merative MarketScan Research Databases (2007-2021) were used to identify adult patients using ICD-9/10 codes.
