Remote patient management (RPM) has the potential to improve patient outcomes in home dialysis patients. Achieving this requires an operational plan that addresses data collection, RPM adoption, and plans for therapeutic interventions on abnormal results. The objective of this chapter is to discuss the key factors to be considered when setting up a RPM program, and in particular how a RPM program can be beneficial in the management of home dialysis patients. RPM is already being utilized in many other disease states to a greater extent than the home dialysis population (heart failure, COPD, diabetes) to improve clinical outcomes. The key components needed to set up a RPM program will be discussed in this chapter. Furthermore, literature regarding the potential benefits to the home dialysis population will be reviewed along with barriers to the adoption of technology.

Background: This study aims to compare design, phase transformation behavior, and torsional resistance of the ProGlider (PG) and ProTaper ultimate slider (PUS) and to compare the performance of two files in the glide-path preparation of a double-curved artificial canal.
Methods: Scanning electron microscopy, micro-computed tomography, and differential scanning calorimetry were used to characterize the samples. A torsional resistance test was performed to obtain ultimate strength and distortion angle.

Background: Our remote patient monitoring (RPM) program for adult cardiac surgery patients aims to remove barriers to access, provide continuity of expert care, and increase their time-at-home. The RPM program integrates novel biosensors, an application for audiovisual visits, messaging, biometric data tracking, patient-reported outcomes, and scheduling with the aim of reducing postoperative length of stay and 30-day readmissions, while simultaneously increasing the rate of patients discharged to home.
Methods: Our institutional database was utilized for this retrospective review of 1000 consecutive RPM patients who underwent coronary artery bypass, valve, and coronary artery bypass + valve, at 3 hospitals from July 2019 through April 2023.

As an environment-friendly material, graphene oxide nanosheet can effectively improve the polishing surface quality of single crystal diamond workpieces. However, the lubricating and chemical effects of graphene oxide nanosheets have an uncertain impact on the polishing material removal rate. In this paper, the graphene oxide-enhanced hybrid slurry was prepared with good stability.

is known for its potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, attributed to triterpenes, flavonoids, and tannins. This study aimed to optimise the extraction process for aerial parts of using vortex extraction. A Box-Behnken experimental design coupled with response surface methodology was employed to evaluate the effects of three independent variables: sample-to-solvent ratio, velocity, and temperature.

The swift rise of hazardous dye effluent from diverse sectors continues to be a severe public health problem and a top priority for environmental preservation, presenting a significant obstacle to the current conventional water treatment systems. This study aims to develop an efficient and reusable approach for removing cresyl fast violet dye using mullite nanoparticles. Some factors such as pH, nano-mullite dosage, agitation speed, time, and others that affect the removal process were studied.
