Background: Prostatic malignancy with paraneoplastic subacute encephalitis -A rare syndrome METHOD: We present a case of 76 year old male without any previous comorbidity and addiction who manifested a rapid neuropsychiatric decline with a frontotemporal syndrome over a period of 6 months. He was anemic and cerebrospinal fluid study showed 10 cells with lymphocytic predominance. The extensive workup of csf for infection, malignancy revealed nothing.

Background: Vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia (VCID) results from cerebrovascular injuries, significantly contributing to age-related cognitive decline, and coexists with Alzheimer's disease (AD) in excess of 70% of AD patients. These co-occurring neuropathological subtypes are referred to as mixed-etiology dementia (MED). Despite the prevalence of MED little is known regarding the neuroinflammatory responses of microglia in the context of vascular injury in tissues already containing AD-related cerebral amyloidosis.

Background: In 2020, we developed LABPSI, a cognitive stimulation web lab. Usability analysis in MCI and healthy participants have already been studied, and currently, we performed it with acquired brain injuries (ABI) participants, as they can rehabilitate their cognitive symptoms and prevent the progression to dementia. Usability can be considered the ease of use of a certain product for a specific aim by a particular population.

Aging adults worldwide are presenting to the emergency department with acute and subacute illness and injury confounded by often unrecognized cognitive impairment, including dementia and delirium. Conveying medical information and weighing various diagnostic and therapeutic approaches during times of emergency is difficult for all aging adults. In adult ED populations without dementia, communication is imperfect with incomplete recollection of test results, presumptive diagnoses, prescriptions, and follow-up recommendations.
