Introduction Studies assessing human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination uptake in survivors of childhood, adolescent, and young adult (CAYA) cancers are sparse. We examined HPV vaccine uptake between survivors of CAYA cancer aged 18-35 and 18-35-year-old respondents without a cancer diagnosis in the United States. Lemierre's syndrome is a rare and potentially life-threatening complication of head and neck infections, such as bacterial pharyngitis or tonsillitis. It is characterized by the extension of infection into the lateral pharyngeal spaces, leading to subsequent septic thrombophlebitis of the internal jugular vein(s). Although relatively uncommon since the advent of appropriate antibiotic therapy, the incidence of Lemierre's syndrome has increased in the past 15 years, especially among young, healthy adults.

Methods: Leveraging secondary data from the 2021 Global Burden of Diseases Study, our analysis spanned the period from 1990 to 2021 to assess the burden of norovirus-associated diseases (NADs).

Background: High-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a powerful diagnostic tool but can induce unintended physiological effects, such as nystagmus and dizziness, potentially compromising the comfort and safety of individuals undergoing imaging. These effects likely result from the Lorentz force, which arises from the interaction between the MRI's static magnetic field and electrical currents in the inner ear. Yet, the Lorentz force hypothesis fails to explain observed eye movement patterns in healthy adults fully.
